deleted a program to watch online videos with.what was it? how do i get it back?

in uninstalling programs on my computer, i accidentally removed something that made me able to watch videos online automatically…. now whenever i try to watch a video online, u know, like where it opens the video in the internet, not using a seperate program like windows media, it asks what it should open the file with, and says shockwave, but doesnt use it for some reason..help

When I try to watch videos online my computer freezes even if it’s youtube or sites like that. At the top it says not responding and it won’t let me close it. Ctrl-Alt-Delete doesn’t work either. Finally a window pops up asking me to send an error report to microsoft. I have sent some so now I hit don’t send. When I do that it closes all the windows. I have cleaned my files and checked for viruses and done all that stuff. I can’t figure out what’s going wrong.
